House of Harmony
Creative Direction
in partnership with Martín Aguirre Lamar
House of Harmony was a unique artistic experience exploring the notion of existence as resistance. Through a 3-act live show, we combined film screenings, fashion runways, dance performances, and live music to tell stories of empowerment and identity.

Director’s Statement In our experiences living with marginalized identities, we have undergone the phases of discovery, resistance, and rebirth. We have found these moments manifest themselves in different ways and at different times, but are consistent across our experiences exploring and embracing our identities.

With House of Harmony, the phases we will cover are a part of
the experiences and realities of individuals across the globe. For many of us, beyond a deeper understanding of who we are, these phases have awakened the realization that our existence is a form of resistance. Against systems, norms, and groups who experience the world differently than we do, we resist through our art and our ability to create and inspire.

We recognize and acknowledge that people of all backgrounds might experience these differently, and we extend an invitation to interact with them in a personal, connected way. We have chosen a team of black, latin, and queer creatives to bring their own perspectives and experiences in connection to these concepts. Our goal is to express these phases from the unique lenses of our lived experiences, with the hopes that people who identify differently will still find resonance and inspiration in them.
