Flower Head
Visual Identity
Reimagined Flower Head gallery's visual identity for a design course at the University of Southern California.
Flower Head's founder describes her gallery as a space for emerging artists and friends to devise and execute their own. Located in a two-car garage under a one-bedroom apartment, it is a space rich with experimentation and characterized by its innate scrappiness. My proposed visual identity aims to remain true to that ethos. Hand drawn lines and a minimalist approach to the branding serves to direct attention towards artist work and remain true to the gallery's goal of de-centering capitalism and maintaining accessibility.
The brief also called for three proposed products with the new branding: free boxed water for visitors to enjoy, a tote bag, and stamps with featured artwork (direct artist commission).
I also created a sample box template for cases of water to be distributed to visitors and anyone in need. A free product offering that is directly in line with Flower Head's mission and values.
